It's Been A Long Time...

I haven't posted anything since February! I can't believe so much time has gone by. One more month of summer and then it's on to a new school year for Aaron, Emma and this year even Hannah. Here are some of the cute things our little ones have said/done lately...

Hannah lost her first tooth recently. We told her to put it under her pillow so the Tooth Fairy could come and take it away and leave her money in its place. Hannah thought about this for a bit and then said, "I'm not sure I believe in the tooth fairy." I asked her, "Well then who do you think takes all the teeth?" Hannah thought about this and then said, "I don't know, Santa?"

Aaron and I got into an argument the other day. After I had calmed down I went into his room to talk with him and he handed me a note. It said, "I'm sorry I acted so angry. I now realize what I put you through..."
It was so cute! Very happy I have such a thoughtful son.

Since it's summer time the big kids have been coming with me to the gym, they stay in the kids club and are babysat while I do gym stuff. When I picked them up the other day Emma immediately began reciting to me the entire conversation of the two girls that had been watching all the kids. Apparently they thought that Sean (some guy that works at the gym) was super hot and he had a motorcycle, and they wish he'd ask them out on a date, and everything about him is so cute, etc. Emma had pretended to play next to them so she could ease drop! She thought it was hilarious they were talking about boys.  I thought it was pretty funny too, but the next time we went I let the babysitters know they might want to watch what they were saying in front of the kids!

Our home teachers came over last Sunday and Clara decided she was going to be shy. We all sat down in the living room and she went and hid behind the large fake dogwood tree in the corner. We went on with the lesson until we started hearing singing coming from behind the tree. "Let it go, let it go! Can't hold it back anymore..." She was singing the Frozen song! I guess she figured if we couldn't see her we couldn't hear her either. It was so funny!

Stupid Man!

We're all moved into the new house! Now I just need to get back in the habit of writing down all the adorable things our little cuties are saying :)

We went to register Hannah for school this coming year. She will be in kindergarten. When we were in the office the lady there asked her what her name was. Hannah replied, "Diamond Crystal!" (She has apparently decided that this is her new name and we are all supposed to call her that.)

I was sitting on the couch this morning when Clara came in. I grabbed her in a hug and said, "Ah-ha! I caught a baby!" She said, "No! I caught a Mom!"

For Valentines Day Aaron made his mom a special valentine. She loved it so much she put it in a frame. It said... "To Cressy, I appreciate you because you took care of me under free will for 10 years. Just remember I love you. Love, Aaron"

Daddy got the original Super Man movie for his birthday. We were turning it on to watch as a family when Clara asked what we were watching. I told her Super Man. She said, "Yay! Stupid Man!"

Rock, Paper, Scissors, Song!

Playing with Daddy is so fun it just makes her want to burst into song!

*Please excuse her crazy hair, she had just gotten out of the tub and it wasn't  combed yet.

Emma

As you may know our Emma has always had her own sense of style. Well now we know where she got it from! We got some clothes from her great Grandma Vivian and Emma thinks they are just awesome.

This one is her favorite, she wore it to school today. You can't go wrong with leopard spots. Her other favorite, which she wore on Monday, is a black silky shirt with black feathers all around the collar. She also got a silky peach night gown she likes to wear over her clothes like a jacket. She is one cool chicki!

Clara's 2nd Birthday!

Happy, happy birthday to our beautiful Clara! She is now officially two years old, and boy is she two. We've had lots of tantrums and hissy fits at our house lately. But her mommy has to say that even though at times it seems like "No" is the only word Clara knows, Clara always says "Sorry Mom!" later.

We took Clara out for the day on her birthday, just to run errands and stuff, but we stopped at the pet store on the way home because that's her favorite place to go. She loves to see all the critters! After we got home we sang "Happy Birthday" and had cake while she opened presents.

Here's our little birthday girl wearing the outfit her Lupi sent her. She loved the kitty on the front, and of course she had to wear it with her boots!

Yes, she is adorable.

Here is Clara holding some of her birthday presents. She got a baby, a princess book and a microphone! She even got her very own dollar from Grandma. (Which she thinks is amazing and won't let anybody else touch.) She knows it's money, but I'm not sure she's figured out your supposed to do anything with it, lol.

She has been carrying the baby around with her everywhere, she even took it to church. And she's been using the microphone to sing "Roar" by Katy Perry, her favorite song. I keep trying to get it on video but she stops singing as soon as she realizes I'm recording. Gonna have to be sneaky to get it. :)

*Yesterday I got all the kids ready for Pack Meeting then turned on a movie for them so I could get ready to go. I was talking on the phone as I got ready and not really paying attention to anything else. When I was ready and went to get the kids to put them in the car Clara was gone! I looked outside, we looked all over the house and we couldn't find her.  I was starting to panic when her brother found her in her bed underneath all the covers fast asleep. I guess she's gotten tired so she took her baby, climbed in bed under all the blankets and took a nap. Her mom is just glad we found her!

Halloween!

This year we had a great Halloween. The night before we got to go to the ward Trunk or Treat, so we got double the candy! Daddy made sure there was a "candy tax" and the kids kept about 1/3 of their haul, so even though they got ALOT of candy, at least it's almost all gone by now!

Emma, the beautiful queen!

I bought the dress at the thrift store and it had gorgeous long sleeves. They were the fancy kind that dripped all the way to the floor. But Emma hated them so we cut them off :(  But I think she still looks cute! The rose she is holding is the rose we gave her when she finished her 5k at school, she thought it made her look more royal. ;)

*Notice her amazing 4 inch fancy shoes. She feels very grown up to have high heels!

Aaron, the little old man!

Aaron had a lot of fun this year with his costume. Not only did he wear it trick or treating, he wore it on walks and to school too!

And Hannah, the gorgeous dancer!

Hannah wore the dancer outfit for the Trunk or Treat, then for Halloween, she was a fairy. That's the fairy costume in the picture below. I love the fact that she went and got a bouquet of roses to hold for the picture just so she could be like her sister. As Hannah said, "Now I look extra cute!"

Clara, the cute, cute, pumpkin!
(We couldn't get her to hold still for a picture so the girls had to hold her.)

Clara was all over this Halloween thing. She was running up to all the houses with the big kids and she was so excited! She even tried to follow some guy into his house because she could see more candy inside. I think it's safe to say that so far this is her FAVORITE holiday.

This one is from Halloween night, by this time Clara understood the whole get candy part of the holiday and she wasn't too happy we were making her take pictures first.

We sure had fun! See you all next year!

My Daddy!

Clara has decided that our daddy is only HER daddy. She just absolutely loves him. Every morning as he's leaving for work she runs up and says, "Daddy! Huggies, kisses!!" She makes sure he bends down and gives her big hugs and kisses before he can get out the door.
The other day when daddy and I were sitting on the couch Clara climbed up on daddy's lap, spread her arms and head across his chest then turned to glare at me and said, "My Daddy!!"
I guess she just wanted to make sure I knew that he was HERS. lol
