Hayrides and Walking

I was telling Hannah today about the Halloween Carnival at Colossal Cave that we want to go to this year. I told her that Daddy would take Aaron and Emma on the scary hayride and that Hannah and I could stay at the carnival and ride on the ponies. Hannah wanted to go on the hayride too. I told her that I thought it would probably be too scary for her. Hannah looked at me and said, "Mom, I'm not gonna be scared cause I'm gonna have my birthday and then I'll be 4 and not be scared anymore." I said, "Are you sure?" She shrugged and said, "Daddy can hold me." Awwww! There's nothing like your Daddy to keep you from being scared.

Here's our Clara Bear who's walking all over the place now. She's not even 10 months old yet but that sure hasn't stopped her. Go Clara go!

Beaver

Tonight for our t.v. time I turned on Netflix and looked for something the whole family would like. I finally picked Leave It To Beaver, we've watched it a few times and the kids like it. When I clicked on the picture Hannah saw it and said, "Hey Mom, are we watching Justin Beaver?"

Very Touching

Aaron brought home a slip today telling all of the 4th and 5th graders that Desert Willow (the kids school) was putting together a team for the Regional Odyssey of The Mind (the teams compete in creative problem solving competitions), they wanted all the students who were interested to sign up and try out for the team.   I asked him if he wanted to try out and he said "Nah." I told him that was ok with me but that it was too bad because I thought he was really good at problem solving. Aaron replied, "That's very touching Mom, but I still don't wanna try out."

Allergic

Hannah and I were walking home with the baby from the chiropractor yesterday, we were having a great discussion. Hannah was telling me all about all of the animals that lived in the desert. She told me, "I hate coyotes, and bugs are creepy, but I like the bunny rabbits." I said I agreed with that and then she asked me if I liked snakes. I told her that I didn't mind snakes but that I didn't like the poisonous ones, then I asked her if she liked snakes. She thought about that for a minute and then she said, "Well... I'm allergic to pythons..."
