Clara's 2nd Birthday!

Happy, happy birthday to our beautiful Clara! She is now officially two years old, and boy is she two. We've had lots of tantrums and hissy fits at our house lately. But her mommy has to say that even though at times it seems like "No" is the only word Clara knows, Clara always says "Sorry Mom!" later.

We took Clara out for the day on her birthday, just to run errands and stuff, but we stopped at the pet store on the way home because that's her favorite place to go. She loves to see all the critters! After we got home we sang "Happy Birthday" and had cake while she opened presents.

Here's our little birthday girl wearing the outfit her Lupi sent her. She loved the kitty on the front, and of course she had to wear it with her boots!

Yes, she is adorable.

Here is Clara holding some of her birthday presents. She got a baby, a princess book and a microphone! She even got her very own dollar from Grandma. (Which she thinks is amazing and won't let anybody else touch.) She knows it's money, but I'm not sure she's figured out your supposed to do anything with it, lol.

She has been carrying the baby around with her everywhere, she even took it to church. And she's been using the microphone to sing "Roar" by Katy Perry, her favorite song. I keep trying to get it on video but she stops singing as soon as she realizes I'm recording. Gonna have to be sneaky to get it. :)

*Yesterday I got all the kids ready for Pack Meeting then turned on a movie for them so I could get ready to go. I was talking on the phone as I got ready and not really paying attention to anything else. When I was ready and went to get the kids to put them in the car Clara was gone! I looked outside, we looked all over the house and we couldn't find her.  I was starting to panic when her brother found her in her bed underneath all the covers fast asleep. I guess she's gotten tired so she took her baby, climbed in bed under all the blankets and took a nap. Her mom is just glad we found her!

Halloween!

This year we had a great Halloween. The night before we got to go to the ward Trunk or Treat, so we got double the candy! Daddy made sure there was a "candy tax" and the kids kept about 1/3 of their haul, so even though they got ALOT of candy, at least it's almost all gone by now!

Emma, the beautiful queen!

I bought the dress at the thrift store and it had gorgeous long sleeves. They were the fancy kind that dripped all the way to the floor. But Emma hated them so we cut them off :(  But I think she still looks cute! The rose she is holding is the rose we gave her when she finished her 5k at school, she thought it made her look more royal. ;)

*Notice her amazing 4 inch fancy shoes. She feels very grown up to have high heels!

Aaron, the little old man!

Aaron had a lot of fun this year with his costume. Not only did he wear it trick or treating, he wore it on walks and to school too!

And Hannah, the gorgeous dancer!

Hannah wore the dancer outfit for the Trunk or Treat, then for Halloween, she was a fairy. That's the fairy costume in the picture below. I love the fact that she went and got a bouquet of roses to hold for the picture just so she could be like her sister. As Hannah said, "Now I look extra cute!"

Clara, the cute, cute, pumpkin!
(We couldn't get her to hold still for a picture so the girls had to hold her.)

Clara was all over this Halloween thing. She was running up to all the houses with the big kids and she was so excited! She even tried to follow some guy into his house because she could see more candy inside. I think it's safe to say that so far this is her FAVORITE holiday.

This one is from Halloween night, by this time Clara understood the whole get candy part of the holiday and she wasn't too happy we were making her take pictures first.

We sure had fun! See you all next year!

My Daddy!

Clara has decided that our daddy is only HER daddy. She just absolutely loves him. Every morning as he's leaving for work she runs up and says, "Daddy! Huggies, kisses!!" She makes sure he bends down and gives her big hugs and kisses before he can get out the door.
The other day when daddy and I were sitting on the couch Clara climbed up on daddy's lap, spread her arms and head across his chest then turned to glare at me and said, "My Daddy!!"
I guess she just wanted to make sure I knew that he was HERS. lol

Run!

As you may know Emma has been participating in "Girls On The Run", which is a group of girls, grades 3-5, who get together after school on Mondays and Wednesdays and do fun activities while training to run a 5k. Em has LOVED it. She's made new friends and has lots of fun.

Monday was her 5k run! All the kids and I went down to the school to cheer for her. We took Sally, the dog, and Emma got to run with her puppy for part of the race. We are all so proud of our Emma for working so hard!

Here's Em running with Sally :)

After the race we gave Emma some special treats. Here she is with her surprises and a big smile. She was very proud of herself, and we were too!

Yay Emma!

Clean

Aaron has decided to be an old man for Halloween. I got him a Duck Dynasty Uncle Si beard at Walmart that's long and gray. Bub likes it so much he's been wearing it everywhere. He wore it to the dog park and to pick up his sister Emma from a friends house. He told me, "When people look at me they see an old man, but I'm really crazy, hahahahaha!" We've got an interesting kid here.

Our family got to go on the Haunted Hay Ride at Colossal Cave on Saturday. You get to sit on hay bales on the back of a horse drawn wagon that pulls you through the pitch black ranch while "monsters" jump out and try to scare you. The kids loved it! Aaron and Emma said their favorite part was when the chain saw carrying maniac tried to cut them in half. Hannah said, "That was so fun I loved it! But I'm never going on it again because it was too terrifying." Even Clara seemed to like it, although we're pretty sure she had no idea what was going on. She had this funny look on her face the whole time like, "What in the world??" She never cried or screamed or anything, which totally impressed all the other passengers. Even when the "zombie" kids jumped on the back of the wagon and pretended to bite Daddy's leg while he was holding her she just kind of looked at them and laughed.

We were in the car when Emma said from the back seat, "Eww! Hannah you're picking your nose!"
Hannah calmly turned in her seat and said to her sister, "I like to pick my nose because I want my nose to be clean!"

Coolest Kid

Aaron was talking to one of his friends today about his class at school. He said, "I'm one of the smartest, strongest, coolest, bravest, fastest most awesome kids in my class. With... an awesome sense of fashion."

Definitely nothing wrong with his self esteem...
