Pets

Last night Hannah was talking on the phone to her Lupi and Boompa about the birthday party she wants to have this year. She told them she was gonna have a "Haunted House Halloween Party". She told them that she was gonna dress up like a princess and that her dad was gonna dress up like a vampire. Then she said, "And you guys are gonna come to my birthday too. And you're gonna dress up like my pets!".  Heeheeheehee

Mine!

I was doing animal sounds with Clara. What does a dog say, cat say, etc. I thought I'd be sneaky and give her a new one so I said. "And what does Clara say?". Without even thinking about it she smiled and said, "Mine!".

*I cracked up when she said this so since then no matter what animal you ask her about her answer for what they say is, "Mine!". I guess we've got a little comedian in our family.

Fire Station

Hannah's Preschool class got to go on a field trip this week to the fire station. These are the pictures that her teacher sent...

*Aaron's teacher called him into the classroom at recess today while all the other kids were playing. He thought for sure he was in trouble, but she instead she needed him to save the day. A great big lizard had gotten inside and she had him catch it for her. Aaron caught it quick but got a bite on his hand. He was the teachers hero for the day :)

Fun at the zoo...

Yesterday we all went to the zoo! We got to take our cousin Joshua with us this time, he's 6 months older than Clara and they had a blast running around the zoo together.

Here we are at the zoo, all set to have an adventure! Notice Emma's amazingly cool sun glasses ;)

Wow! Big fish!

Every time I tried to catch Josh smiling he would stop and just look at me. He and Clara must have a no smiling for pictures conspiracy going.

The keeper had just set out some big meat bones for the jaguars when we got to their cage. It was pretty cool to watch them fight over the bones and then chow down.

Run, run!

They have this big lawn at the zoo where they hold events. Since no events were going on yesterday we all got to run on the grass, which doesn't sound like a big deal till you remember where we live and that we hardly ever get to do this.

Miss Emma

There were peacocks all over the zoo, Josh kept trying to catch them. He kept pointing at them and saying, "Ooooo! Ooooo!"

Bub

Peekaboo!

I see you!

Cheese! (That is literally what she was saying :)

Little monkeys watching little monkeys.  lol

Coloring in the learning center.

Aaron liked the bearded dragons.

Peeeeewwwww!

*This elephant rear end is really fun. When you smack it, it makes elephant noises. It either trumpets or makes this long, deep, growl kind of sound. Josh did NOT like the growl. He froze when he heard it and his eyes got really big and he said, "NO!"

Hannah loves this elephant, every time we go to the zoo she wants her picture taken sitting on it.

Playing the elephant game at the elephant exhibit.

Playing at the splash pad.

Love to you all until next time!

Cowgirls

Last night Emma and I got to go to Ancestry Night for Emma's Activity Day Girls. We were supposed to dress up like our ancestors and tell some stores about them with pictures if we could. We decided to dress up like Emma's great, great grandparents Nanny and BB (this was because they were the ones I had pictures for :)  We told the story of how Nanny would ride her horse to school every day and that she was the first one in her family to graduate from high school. We had lots of fun, and looked pretty darn cute too... if I do say so myself, wink.

Two cute cowgirls in their awesome pink hats!

*Side note: Today I took Hannah with me to the store to grab a few things. I told her that if she was good while we were there I would buy her a cupcake. Well, bribery works and she was a very good girl so we went to the bakery and got her a great big frosting smothered cupcake to take home. While we were walking to the checkout she asked me if she could eat her cupcake in the car. I said, "No, because I think that would make a huge mess in our car." Hannah shook her head and said, "No Mom! It won't make a huge mess in our car! It will only make a huge mess on my mouth!"
