Too Much Love

This week our family is watching our super cute little nephew, Joshua, while his Mom and Dad are off on adventures. He is just over a year old and a real sweetie. Since his Mom and Dad are both tall, so is Joshua. In fact he's almost three times as big as our tiny Clara. Even so, he and Clara have been playing together all week and having a blast.
Joshua has decided he just loves Clara so much he wants to give her hugs all the time. This of course is very sweet, but the problem is, since he's so much bigger than her he keeps accidentally pinning her to the ground. He sticks his arms out to squeeze her but ends up laying on top of her trying to figure out why she's screaming when he's trying to give her hugs. Poor Joshua! We need Clara to hurry up and grow so she's big enough to appreciate so much love!

Really Sneaky

This afternoon I was sitting in the living room doing the budget when Hannah came over and giggled at me. I smiled at her and then kept on working. She just stood there and giggled again, so I looked up and asked her what was so funny. She giggled some more and said with a big grin, "I took something from the kitchen." I asked her what she had taken. She laughed and said, "Want to see what I did?", while running towards her room.
I followed her, a little worried now, to see whatever it was she had done. I found her standing in her room next to her night stand totally cracking up. I said, "Hannah, what is so funny!? What did you do?!"
Hannah opened the top drawer of her nightstand and while still cracking up told me to look inside. I peeked in and saw one of the magnets from the fridge.
"See!", Hannah laughed, "I'm really sneaky!!"

Holy Guacamole

I gave Hannah an early lunch today. She sat down at the table and looked at the food on her plate. Then she sighed and said, "Mom, does this have holy guacamole in it?"

Propriate

Ever since Emma visited her Lupi and Boompa in CA and got to drive go carts on a track she is convinced that she knows how to drive a car. Almost every time we get in our van to go somewhere she asks me if she can drive. Of course I always say no, and tell her that she can't learn to drive until she's 15, but after the 27th time she asked me I was starting to get a bit frustrated. I finally said, "Emma! You can't drive! Driving a real car is a lot harder than driving a go cart!." Emma looked at me and rolled her eyes, "Mom", she replied, "I had to drive around corners."

Hannah, Clara and I were walking home from dropping the big kids off at school this morning when some guy in an SUV passed us. He had all his windows down and was listening to some rap song with his speakers blaring. Hannah watched him go by and then turned to me and said, "Mom, that song was not propriate!"

Doggy

We were driving down the road this morning headed back home. There was a blue Dodge truck in front of us with the word... D O D G E ...written in giant letters across the gate. Emma was staring at it and then suddenly said,"Look Mom, that trucks name is Doggy!"
Hahahaha. Our van is a Dodge too, so from now on we're gonna call it The Doggy, in tribute to Em. :)

Emma

Here is Miss Emma singing her very own original song..."I'm so cool", and, her Mom has to say, she most certainly is so cool.

Remember Everything

Aaron told me this morning...

"Hey Mom, do you know I have the best memory. I can remember everything, even stuff from when I was a little baby." Then he thought for a minute and said, "Except for when I get in trouble, then it's like I can't remember anything ever, it's weird."

Yea, weird isn't exactly the word that Mom would pick but she has to say she's noticed this phenomenon too.

Aaron's Primary Talk 7/1/12

My talk is about choosing the right. When my grandparents were dating, my grandmother said, “I can’t date you anymore because you are not a member of the church and I want to get married in the temple.”
My grandfather thought it was amazing how much she believed in the gospel. So, he decided to investigate the church and he got baptized.
Because my grandmother chose the right my grandfather got baptized and they got married in the temple. I know Heavenly Father blesses us when we choose the right.

In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
